Schloss Schwante

In the vicinity of the Mühlensee, in the idyllic village of Schwante, the Schloss Schwante is located. The historic mansion and its picturesque park are a great destination for the whole family and offers a great entertainment program both in culinary and cultural regards.

EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT AND EXQUISITE DINING IN A SCENIC SETTING 

Coming from Berlin Schloss Schwante is easy to reach by S-Bahn and regional train (S25 to station Henningsdorf, RB55 to station Schwante) or by car (A10 direction Hamburg exit Schwante). Here, remote from the daily hectic of the city, you are right in the middle of nature in one of Brandenburg’s most scenic sites. Schloss Schwante is embedded within in a picturesque clearing not far from the village center between forests, meadows and water bodies. The building is located in front of a forecourt, which is used by the restaurant as a terrace. With up to a hundred other visitors you can sit comfortably and enjoy drinks and seasonal dishes (the main courses are between 15, – and 25, – Euros). Especially in autumn, the kitchen offers delicious game dishes. In the adjoining brick house you will find the restaurant area with a counter and two guest rooms. Within the inn itself, open fireplaces and baroque-style rooms invite you to sojourn and relax. The surrounding parks are home to children’s play areas, extensive meadows and forests with fountains to admire and marvel at, as well as a lakeside sauna. There, you can attend the “Kino am See” during the summer months. Since 2018, this cinematic outdoor event shows a colorful spectrum of movies.

A HISTORIC MANSION WITH MANY AMENITIES

Built in 1743, the baroque Schloss Schwante has been used as a farmhouse and summer resort for generations. Regular historical tours offer insight into the rich history of the manor house. Since its takeover by Berlin artists the property has served as a recreational site and event location. Thoroughly renovated in 2018 the mansion hosts numerous literary, theater and music events throughout the year. Among other things, the Berliner Märchenhütte, located at the Monbijou Park, hosts various shows at the Schloss Schwante during the winter months. The historic mansion can also be rented for private family or corporate events such as weddings or workshops. In seven apartments in the adjoining outbuildings, the castle can provide a total of 30 beds for overnight guests.
