Kastanientörtchen

March 2017: Anna Schmidtke and Paul Scharf open their Café Kastanientörtchen at Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg. Right across from W – der Imbiss you can now find a cozy and bright corner café with the worldwide first D.I.Y idea and motto of “Build-your-tartlets”!

You can choose from various cake bases and toppings to create your personal tartlet (don’t hesitate to give your artistic imagination free rein!), all of which are high quality products. If you’re gluten or lactose intolerant or have simply decided to go vegan, Kastanientörtchen is prepared and you’re welcome to stop by whenever you like.

After the decoration is finished, the tartlet can either be enjoyed in the café or be snacked on on the street.

An amazing concept, that is not only innovative but also very successful. After a few months have passed, the café is becoming more and more popular among Berliners. And don’t worry, if you’re not the artistic type: the tartlets are delicious with any combination and application of toppings.
