König Galerie
The König Galerie is located in Berlin – Kreuzberg behind the Jewish Museum and the Berlinische Galerie. Here you will find contemporary art as well as changing exhibitions. The best way to reach the König Galerie is via the underground station Kochstraße or Spittelmarkt.
Looking for the location, we felt like we were discovering a little bit of sensation in the middle of nowhere in the otherwise lively Kreuzberg. The King Gallery is housed in a building that was originally intended as a church, but now houses a redesigned gallery in a high-pitched style. The König Galerie is characterized not only by its unique, thoroughly authentic location, but also convinces us with regularly changing exhibitions, such as the exhibits of “Subversive Practices” by Andreas Mühe or “Eden” by Sabine Moritz. The large church hall creates an almost sacred atmosphere, the high ceilings and broad walls exude grandeur, but do not overshadow the art and support the effect of the works.
JUMPBerlin says:
A unique location with unique art objects. Our editorial team is thrilled every time and inspired by the charm and exhibitions of the König Galerie.
