Osteria Marina Blu
The Osteria Marina Blu is an excellent choice for classic Italian cuisine in Berlin Mitte. Located at Weinbergsweg, fairly close to Café Giorgio Lombardi, and easily accessible via U-Bahn (Rosenthaler Platz), the small and cozy restaurant serves authentic mediterranean food in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere.
CLASSIC ITALIAN CUISINE SERVED IN FAMILIAR ATMOSPHERE
If the osteria Marina Blu had a motto it would have to be “less is more.” Lots of warm wooden elements dominate the interior design of the dining place. Comfortable blue chairs are arranged in pairs at neatly decorated tables. An iconic picture of Sophia Loren is put up on the backside wall of the restaurant. If not (only) at home then you immediately feel like you’re back in Italy, residing in a typical Italian restaurant located at the Adrian coast. Although crowded the Marina Blu is no place for noisy high society chit-chat. Here, you’ll spend an enjoyable evening with excellent food in pleasant company. Of course, the pizza is made in the restaurant’s very own stone oven. Check out the fluffy and crisp pizza-dough – you’ll taste it. The pasta, produced by the pasta manufacturer Mondo Pasta, is al dente and served with special complements from the rich culinary spectrum of the mediterranean nation of “la dolce vita.” For the main dishes you have a broad assortment of white and red wines from all over Italy, mostly from the South. Finally, you should not miss out on the desserts. What better way to try a classic – the Tiramisu – in a refreshingly original and tasty variation than here. Some of the food served at the Marina Blu is offered as special dishes portioned for the little ones. The main dishes all range between 10,- and 25,- Euros; the pizzas start off at 7,50 Euro.
