Rosenthaler Straße
In the streets around Hackescher Markt there is a lot to discover, once you get away from the busy square, in the small stores that offer a very special shopping experience. It’s best to start your city stroll directly from Hackescher Markt and from there up to Rosenthaler Straße and Weinmeisterstraße. In Rosenthaler Straße you will find several mainstream shops and a couple of cheaper ones. If you prefer to shop in other, non mainstream shops, then go directly to the underground station Weinmeisterstraße and start from there. In Weinmeisterstraße you will find, among other things, the famous store Absinth Depot, where you can buy various types of absinthe under expert advice. Then turn into Alte Schönhauser Straße, where you will find smaller designer labels and Berlin boutiques such as Greta & Luis. In this area, big brand shops and small boutiques alternate. Then head towards Schendelgasse to the right and then into Max-Beer-Straße where you will find Level-Eight. The next street with countless shops is Münzstraße; If you have a go for big brands then you have hit the right spot. Finish this small neighborhood stroll at Neue Schönhauser Straße.
JUMPBerlin‘s opinion:
As we find one of the most beautiful and lively streets in Mitte. The numerous nice restaurants are always worth a visit during the lunch break or in the evening, alone or in company. One of the top addresses for fashion and shopping. This is an expression of Berlin’s claim to be a metropolis.
