Thai Elephant
In close proximity to Kurfürstendamm at the Zoologischer Garten in Berlin Charlottenburg is the Thai Elephant, a small, inconspicuous but not to be underestimated restaurant. The small family-run restaurant is located on Fasanenstraße next to Hotel Kempinski.
The furnishings are made up of typical Asian-Thai decorative items and are kept simple. It is in family ownership, the employees, especially the service staff are always in a good mood and ready for a joke.
The dishes are of high quality, authentic, spicy and very tasty. Those who appreciate Asian cuisine will get their money’s worth.
Everything is very cheap, at noon you can choose between different menus.
The owners of this restaurant belong to the family of one of the oldest Thai people in Berlin. This was often attended by members of the Thai royal family when they still owned shares in Hotel Kempinski.
JUMPBerlin says:
A must-eat! The dishes in Thai Elephant do not only contain regional ingredients but also many dishes include exotic vegetables, which are very difficult to get in Europe.
