W – Der Imbiss (Prenzlauer Berg)
W – der Imbiss is a mixture of a classical diner, various foreign culinary arts and an unusually high quality of food. Since over ten years it has the reputation of a healthy and innovative cuisine, that is situated across from Zionskirchplatz and easily reachable from the subway stations Senefelder Platz and Rosenthaler Platz.
The small and rustical interior creates a comfortable atmosphere with a touch of Polynesian design. The menu combines elements from the Mexican, Californian, Italian and Indian cuisine in an exceptional manner and creates large portions of pure deliciousness. It is adequate for vegans and vegetarians, but also offers dishes with salmon.
Additionally to its unique combination of flavours, the diner sets a high standard of product quality and prepares everything freshly on site. Meals are served to you quickly and by a friendly service. In summer you can choose to sit either outside in the sun and on a silghtly worn seating or inside the small, cozy diner. If you want to call ahead, you can also take your order to-go.
JUMP Berlin’s opinion:
It is a very popular and crowded place, therefore we recommend you to make a reservation in advance. In case you’re close to the south of Berlin, you should rather stop by at larger branch of W – Der Imbiss at the Nollendorfplatz in Schöneberg. Aside from the similar snacks, there is a cocktail bar and lots of seating available to you.
Diner with fresh and large portions of Mexican, Indian and Italian variations at Zionskirchplatz. Suitable for vegans, vegetarians and fish lovers.
